Before ArcAqua, Goosen Boerdery sanitised their fruit with peroxyacetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and chlorine dioxide. The two main problems they were looking to solve:
ArcAqua was installed to replace chemical sanitisation. The chemicals used accelerate corrosion and rust in the pack-line equipment.
After ArcAqua was installed, Goosen Boerdery observed the following advantages:

ArcAqua technology delivers ozone, a natural anti-microbial agent, within a fine water spray using less water than a total loss chlorine system. The run-off water can be recycled and reused, thereby reducing the environmental impact and reducing water consumption. Pack line degradation, occasioned by harsh chemicals, is also reduced.
ArcAqua technology provides remote monitoring and the generation of ozone on demand, to achieve the desired results. With no water pH or water hardness/softness and/or chemical related management concerns, ArcAqua can be used uninterruptedly.
With our ozone spray, bacteria, viruses, moulds, yeasts, residual chemicals and pesticides are reduced or removed from fresh food products to meet regulated safety requirements.
